The Michigan Department of National Resources offers a service for finding a Michigan State Park, Recreation Area or State Forest Campground by county and region, campground type, and features. Michigan state campground types include modern, semi-modern, rustic, and equestrian. Features include, biking, boat launches, canoeing, fishing, hiking, hunting, snowmobiling, and swimming.

Fees for the various Michigan state campgrounds and varieties of campsites they offer in each park can be found at their website along with permit fees for snowmobiles, motor vehicles, off road vehicles, and more.
